FAQs

FERRE has been proudly producing recycled cotton, wool and polyester yarns in Europe since 1947. This has given us an extensive expertise in this challenging industry.
Our O.E. spinning house is based in Banyeres de Mariola, Spain, and it’s GRS and Oeko-tex certified.

Most of our colors are delivered against stock position, and we have in-house twisting capacity.

Ferre uses cotton and other recycled fibres in the manufacture of its yarns. Due to this nature Ferre yarns may contain small imperfections which are characteristics as a result of the mechanical recycling process.

Ferre yarns are made from recycled textile waste, thus a percentage of other fibres such as polyester, viscose, acrylic, wool or nylon may be identified during final composition testing.

Where does the recycling and yarn spinning take place?

Recycling of the textile waste and spinning are made in Spain, in Banyeres de Mariola, Alicante.

What certifications does Hiltauras Ferre have in place?

Ferre has the Global Recycled Standard (GRS), Oeko-tex Standard 100 certificate and Organic Content Standard (OCS).

What type of raw material do you use to produce your yarns?
We use pre & post- consumer Recover™ recycled cotton, recycled wool, RPet mainly.
What applications are possible?
Knitting, weaving and hoisery. Our yarns are made of any type of fashion, accesories and home textiles.
What is the average lead time for non Stock Service orders?

3-4 weeks.

Is the recycled cotton dyed?
The Recover™ recyled cotton that we use to produce our yarns is not dyed as we use recycled coloured cotton waste.
Hazardous chemicals
In regards of hazardous chemicals, note that all our yarns are certified by the widely known Oeko-Tex 100 standard, in the tightest category class I (baby).
What are the MOQ´s for custom colors for Stock Service qualities?

2,000 kg per sku.

What are the MOQ’s per Stock Service color?
90 kg. Lower quantities are available with its corresponding surcharge.
What are the MOQ’s for custom colors of yarns and counts that are Stock Service?

2,000 kg per color.

What are the MOQ’s for yarn counts that are not Stock Service?

Between 4,000 & 2,000 kg. depending on the yarn count.

What adittional services do you offer?
Twisting, steaming and rewinding.
Which is the MOQ for a custom composition yarn?

6,000 kg with a minimum of 2,000 per color (3 colors x 2,000 kg).
